A lot of stadiums around the world have the finest design and they give pride to the countries where they are located. Yet there are some stadiums where architects have failed and there are some very clever adaptations to the surrounding landscape and that makes them kinda weird.

Ajang Olimpiade ke-31 di Rio de Janeiro Brazil, baru akan digelar enam tahun mendatang. Namun persiapan-persiapan sudah mulai dilakukan.
Rafaa, salah satu perusahaan konsultan arsitektur dan desain yang bermarkas di Zurich Swiss, menjadi salah satu perusahaan yang mengusulkan sebuah ‘landmark hijau’ untuk mensukseskan ajang tersebut.
Salah satu tujuannya yakni menjadikan Rio de Janeiro sebagai simbol Olimpiade pertama yang memiliki jejak karbon nol.
“Proyek ini akan menyediakan energi bagi kota Rio de Janeiro dan warganya menggunakan sumber daya alam,” kata Rafaa dalam blog resminya.
Rafaa menawarkan sebuah menara bernama Solar City Tower yang terdiri dari pembangkit listrik tenaga surya dan sebuah air terjun buatan di atas laut.

Pada siang hari, panel-panel surya menara tersebut akan menghasilkan energi listrik untuk kota Rio de Janeiro. Listrik itu digunakan untuk memompa air laut untuk ditampung di tangki di bagian atas menara.

Pada malam hari, air tersebut disalurkan ke atas menara menjadi air terjun dan akan menggerakan turbin yang akan membangkitkan listrik untuk menerangi menara dan kota di malam hari.

Menara setinggi 105 meter itu menyediakan berbagai fasilitas. Antara lain plaza yang terletak pada 60 m di atas permukaan laut, amphitheatre untuk menggelar berbagai kegiatan perkumpulan sosial, kantin dan toko yang terletak di bawah air terjun.

Tak ketinggalan, hiburan bungee jumping dari ketinggian 90,5 meter, serta balkon di tingkat paling atas dengan platform lantai transparan, sehingga air terjun yang terletak di bawahnya akan terlihat dengan jelas.
Rancangan besutan Rafaa ini rencananya akan dibawa ke ajang China International Architectural Expo ke-5, yang akan digelar di China National Convention Center Beijing

Korean Female Top Group-Wonder Girls

The Wonder Girls is one of Korea’s top female pop groups and is making waves across the globe. Their hit songs include Tell Me, So Hot and Nobody etc. which have been released in multiple languages (Korean, English, Chinese).
The current five members of the Wonder Girls are Sun Ye, Ye-eun, Sohee, Yoobin, and Hye-rim.
The Wonder Girls debuted as a five member group in early 2007 with mini-album The Wonders Begin, but underwent a change of member just months later with Hyuna leaving and Yoobin coming in. The new team released their first full album The Wonder Years in September; its main track Tell Me was a huge hit.

Wonder Girl’s popularity is soaring ever since. They released single So Hot in June 2008, which did well; followed by Nobody a few months later which was again one of the most popular songs of the year.

The group underwent their second member change with Sun Mi leaving in February 2010 to pursue her study. Hong Kong born Hye-rim came in as replacement; and the new team released a multi-lingual EP 2 Different Tears in May. The girls also starred in their own reality TV show Made in Wonder Girls in 2010.
