After breakaway success with his documentary "Never Say Never," Justin Bieber is in talks to return to the big screen—this time oppositeAshton Kutcher. According to the Los Angeles Times, "What Would Kenny Do?" is a buddy comedy in which Justin would play the 17-year-old version of Ashton's character. If the project goes forward, it probably won't hit theaters for a while (Justin is touring through 2012), so we here at Hollywood Crush thought we'd pass the time with a little daydreaming about other stars we'd love to see team up for some quality time.
What kinds of movies might some of our favorites team to make? We take a look (by which, of course, we mean "completely fabricate") at some possible upcoming box office hits.
Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez in "Southern Belles"
Who better to hit the big screen together than real-life BFFs T-Swift and Selena? The country music superstar and native Texan's adventure would be one part magical (with some classic Alex Russo one-liners to boot) and one part musical (can you imagine the soundtrack?). Plus, Selena could totally get buddy comedy tips from her beau Bieber!
Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner in "Bromance"
After years of on-screen rivalry in "The Twilight Saga," it's high time that these two called a truce and declare bros before...you know. The two clearly have buddy movie chemistry (just rewatch the tent scene from "Eclipse" if you don't believe us) so why not put it to use? Besides, as sexy as these two are when they brood, we wouldn't mind a couple of hours of their heart-melting smiles for a change.
Vanessa Hudgens and Josh Hutcherson in "Totally Platonic...We Swear"
These two close buds have been spending a lot of time together lately—maybe they're chatting about their new project, a not-even-remotely romantic comedy about a girl and a guy who just like hanging out at Lakers games together. And nothing more. At all.
Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder in "Roommates"
Really, does it get much better than this? Our two favorite TV vampires together in a film? They're sure to look even better on a 40-foot screen, right? This isn't "The Vampire Diaries: The Movie," though, so dramatic brotherly tension no more—it's time to let Paul and Ian show off their sillier sides as a pair of fun-loving roommates with a penchant for getting into all kinds of hilarious trouble. Think a brainier "Dude, Where's My Car?"
Jessica Szohr and Ashley Greene in "Stepsisters"
Playing sisters should be no problem for these real-life buds. As Alice Cullen, Ashley is every girl's dream sis, so Jessica will be in great hands. And can you picture that shared closet? Talk about funky and fun.
